Nether Bridge
Nether, from the Anglo Saxon Neothera meaning "lower"; the most southerly bridge in Kendal until the Romney Bridge was built in 1993. Caught in the late afternoon sun on a glorious cold clear day after taking yet more books to Oxfam and buying Mum a DAB radio ready for digital radio switch over.
Although digital radio switch over will not take place until national coverage is comparable to FM. Driving round the Lake District DAB radio is useless. I listen to Radio Cumbria on FM when I'm out and about. Not surprising when you look at the DAB coverage map here . But Mum's in Worthing on the South coast , no problems down there
