Steaming through at last

Off work today  and a nice steady start to the day. There was a special train excursion due through Lincoln today going from London up to York and then back this evening. It was due to have been a steam train both ways . The outward journey ended up been a diesel train due to the union of South Africa breaking down. I discovered this after waiting for it to come through . This evening  the return journey was the duchess of Sutherland this was due to needing to move trains around to other parts of the country. I waited patiently in the dark and cold. She finally arrived 1/2 hour late for some reason probably waiting for a clear track as she was 10 minutes late leaving York. Not the best of shots as it was rather a dark spot and she was moving at the time. It is a bit grainy due to  me lightening it up in photo editing . A few more shots can be seen HERE along with a couple of the old diesel train this morning .Fingers crossed I will get some better shots of her next week as she is due to come to Lincoln for the Christmas Market.
Home now getting warm but might just have to go for a couple down at the local soon .
