Dome

Just acquired, through the wonders of the World Wide Web, a Victorian dome along with some lovely old oak library bookshelves. The antiques dealer just happened to be in the Isle of Man and, although we can see the Island from here, delivery turned out to be problematic and expensive. The glass dome is about two feet tall, rather heavy and arrived here in a large cardboard box filled with polystyrene chips. I figured the best way to wash it was to place it in the bath on a large folded bath sheet and give it a shower. After polishing it dry, I added some silk flowers — so happy!
