2 1/2 C
If you play the trumpet (or any brass instrument) you know that mouthpieces come in various sizes. The beginning trumpeter usually starts with a 7C. This means the mouthpiece is rather narrow. The lower the number the wider the mouth and the harder to play. For some reason, I ended up playing a Bach 2 1/2 C in my days as a jazz band trumpeter. I am picking up the horn again these days and still want to use the 2 1/2 C though I should probably use the 7C or even 8C I own. Pride! This mouthpiece is so old and battered and yet it has seen some nice music with me.
