Treasure

Me and the children have come to stay at my parents for the weekend as Mr J is away. My parents house is like a treasure trove and I always find something new that I’ve not noticed before. Today I came across photos of my grandparents during the war. The picture of my grandad was apparently taken in Sydney whilst he was stationed there and the one of my grandma is a larger version of one that had been taken and signed “all my love Daphnie. 31st Jan 1946” and sent to my grandad whilst serving.

I love learning these little stories about them. And I can’t quite get over how alike my grandma, mum and me look at the same age.
