Saturday: Duffin’s

We felt we frittered the day away a bit by just being a bit moochy at home but we did manage to make up for it in the evening.

We met up with my former colleague (and now friend), Niniane, and her husband, Joel, at the newly opened ‘Container Brewing’ in east Van.  We didn’t meet up until 8pm which is heading towards our bedtime but we did have a really good time.  The brewery is great - good beers, a really nice space, and, best of all, not too loud or busy.  Definitely one to go back to.

We stayed until last orders and then decided late night food was in order.  We ended up in ‘Duffin’s Donuts’ - don’t be misled by the odd food descriptions.  It’s open 24 hours and does pretty good fried chicken and egg rolls too, which is what we had.  Joel also ended up with a box of a dozen doughnuts - not quite sure how that happened (particularly as he works as a nutritionist!).
