Another Rainy Day in Calistoga

We had a lovely, quiet day - our last day of our weekend getaway. The days here at the Inn always start with a lovely breakfast with the innkeepers who have become friends. Today we had a little omelet filled with sautéed veggies and bits of bacon. Delish!

We went for another drive in the rain - this time we explored Spring Mountain, one of Napa Valley’s AVA’s (American Viticultural Area).

Today’s blip - another drippy blip (thank you Broon!) - this of a rose that’s quite protected from frost - but not rain!

We ate a very late lunch at the Calistoga Inn and then to the Santa Rosa Airport for the short flight home to Portland. It’s been so lovely to spend a bit of time away with my husband - it does’t happen often enough.
