Wood Pigeon on a Paris Chimney

On our coldest morning yet (since 7/1--about 1 C°) this fellow was doubtless warming himself on the top of one of the many chimneys opposite our 4th floor apartment (taken from our kitchen window). We're in Paris 13e. He's fun to see large--but watch out if he flies out of your screen :)

We see them frequently--my earliest blip is from 2007 (backdated), and the most striking is from 2009.
