2019 Friday — The Arrival
We left our SoCal house in the dark this morning at 5:30 to drive to Cayucos on California’s Central Coast. We know that this is the biggest shopping day of the year, so we wanted to get through Los Angeles before the majority of the residents were awake.
There were more vehicles on the highway than three weeks ago when we made the same journey. I suppose lots of people will be headed home today from their Thanksgiving gatherings.
Our driving time today was under 4 hours, but we also took time for potty stops for the pups and for the humans, and quick food stop in Buellton, which is north of Santa Barbara, and that added to the overall time.
It’s good to be here. We had planned to be here a week ago, but our oldest granddaughter requested that we stay in SoCal to celebrate the holiday at her Dad’s house (our former son-in-law’s home). So we did.
