Kick over the Statues

Is this the last time the view will look like this in George Square ,Glasgow City Council intends a much needed makeover for this space. I am in two minds over its future ,I appreciate the tradition and pomp of the old square but i would love to see something totally new and more befitting of this century ,On an additional note I am always reminded 0f this classic song from the 80s when i see faded old statues .Song is here
