Lights at the "Botanics".
A great day! Doing the tourist thing round Edinburgh during the day, including our usual visit to St Giles for photography. Interestingly they have now added a mobile phone symbol to their notices about photography fees. In the past I have always been amazed at how many people seemed to think using their phone wasn't photography!
In the evening we were taken to The Royal Botanic Gardens to see the light display. It was incredible! One of the most spectacular was the "Cathedral of Light. Clickychick blipped that.
For me it was the sheer size and every changing colours/patterns projected onto all sides of the Palm House (the largest in the UK I believe). Everywhere you turned there was something of interest generally with a WOW factor. Displays ranged from simply flood lit trees through "paper boats" on pools, large "parcels" to lasers flickering rays through artificially produced "mist".
