Key West Sunrise
I wasn't the only one up to see the sunrise. After my pre-dawn hike to the other end of the island, there was a group of about 15 people standing on the concrete pier being blown by the rather strong breeze. I jockeyed for position. After the sunrise started and I was taking pictures, I noticed a flash going off behind me. I turned around and a young woman was dutifully snapping away with the flash up. I couldn't help it. I said "I don't think the flash will do any good." She said, "Oh, it's in portrait mode...and..." then went into a short, strange explanation of what she thought portrait mode did. I hope you will be very proud of me that I said nothing, but wanted to say, "What are you taking a portrait of, the back of my head?" No, I didn't say that.
