Bali, the northern area

The south is where the tropical paradise has been overwhelmed by the Australian party and beach set. We’re heading there to finish our cruise tomorrow.

Today we were on the crazily narrow and steep roads of a beautiful paradise, vulnerable to the tourist boom.

The beautiful “floating temple” is perhaps more theme park than sacred place, but it is still lovely, for now.

The scenery is stunning and the welcome wonderful. 

Views about the south will follow. I visited 20 years ago and I’m nervous.
