A Bird in the Hand...

Dear Diary,

I was fully prepared for a "stay at home day", presents to wrap, a new book to start and, of course, my needle felting.  I tried to make a cardinal.  I always look forward to seeing them standing out beautifully against the snow.  Well, here's my effort but the snow did not, for the most part, materialize.  I fully expected to see a few inches this morning when I woke up but there's not much there.  A wee bit disappointing really.  Most of the storm stayed south of us it seems.
