That’s BIG !
Last Friday while in Seattle visiting my sister Marla, we visited Snohomish. It’s a little town that boosted its economy by capitalizing on the local antiques and quaint shops.
This 12’ 5” log sits on a back corner in its own protective shanty. As the sign explains, it was a fir felled by a logging company in 1940....and estimated to be 620 years old. Now that’s large AND majestic !!
I don’t know how it came to be saved & placed on this small town’s corner, but I am certainly glad that a piece of its grandeur was preserved.
I love what our small American towns cherish and protect.
I had a wonderful Seattle Thanksgiving visit not only with my sister and her husband’s lovely extended family (20 for dinner!), but it also included a super Blip meet with my friend John (Johnsmiley1321). He found the most delightful event; the Holiday Bazaar at the Duwamish Longhouse & Cultural Center. Our native Americans’ Craft & art Work was very unique. It was interesting to chat with the vendors and artists. It was a most enjoyable Blip meet - to be repeated more often! Thanks John.
