Can You See What I see

Tonights walk took us to the beach.

I was once a frequent visitor to the beach at night - in my young days.  I thought nothing of wandering home from the disco, walking along the beach wall, watching the waves break on the sand.   On my own, or with friends.

Laying on the sand at 1 in the morning, gazing at the sky in a slightly drunken stupour.   There was nothing quite like it.   After disco parties, drinks on the beach, skinny dipping in the summer.

Times have passed, and in my head I felt less secure about walking on the beach at night.

When I suggested it to Him toinght he says, "yes".  So we parked at the car park, and walked towards the banking  - there is lighting in place now - so it wasn't as dark as I thought it would be.   It was cold, and windy, exhilarating.

We turned up one of the roads off the beach - on to the opposite side of town and walked the length of Templehill, and then round the town square -and then out past the bowling club and the tennis club.

It was lovely - we could look in all the big house' windows, and gaze at their decorations.   When we had walked far enough we turned back on to the beach and walked back along from the other end.

It was nice, and we covered 5000 steps!
