Pacific shore

We made our way to our lodging, settled in and watched a waxing gibbous moon drift between clouds as it dropped into the sea. It lay a silvery sea-washed path to our window.
As night turned toward morning, a bright light brought me to the window. The planet Mars hung in nightdark, a breathtaking faceted planet.
Life’s small miracles.
