Pre-Christmas Jaunt

It has become a much loved Christmas tradition that my Wednesday friends and I go as foot passengers on the chain ferry over to Shell Bay and then walk along the beach to Studland, where we enjoy lunch in the rather lovely surroundings of 'The Pig On The Beach'. 

What a wonderful day we chose! Cold and crisp but sunny and with no wind - perfect walking conditions :) And the meal was delicious! 

We met at the ferry at 10.30 and didn't get back there again until after dark. There is something rather special about walking along the beach in near darkness!

Feeling very pampered (and quite pleased with the 17,000+ steps we covered :))
