John Rattray

Went up to the allotment - fed the blighters, pulled/dug up more detritus and picked a couple of small but hearty cabbages. I also sowed some more broad beans - one of the few things that can momentarily cheer me up at the moment. (The beans I sowed at the end of October are just showing above the soil).

This statue on Leith Links (it's golf-related, obvs, although I don't know the details) is of one John Rattray taking aim with his club - the hump-y bits that surround him are supposed to imitate the original golfing habitat and will be covered with wildflowers in the summer.
