Had a good morning. Took G to Ulverston as he likes to go every visit. We start off in Gillam's. where he has a "rum hot chocolate" and I have a black coffee and we shared one of their delicious home-made tea bread with Lancashire cheese. They had a lovely album of Jess Gillam's playing Christmas tunes. Jess is an award-winning Saxophonist and in 2016 was a finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year awards. She has since won many other awards and made numerous appears both in the UK and worldwide. She does occasionally serve coffee at Gillam's coffee shop where here family and ancestors have been providing fine food since 1892. They are now a vegetarian cafe and serve a wide range of teas and coffees and it is totally delicious.
Amongst her many appearances Jess will also be appearing next year in the Coronation Hall in her home town of Ulverston with Snake Davis.
Snake Davis is also a famous Saxophonist and has played and recorded with people such as David Bowie and Paul McCartney, amongst very many others.

After visiting the lovely little indoor market, posting off all my Birthday and Christmas cards and parcels we popped into two of my favourite shops "Squirrel" and "Brambles". Then wondered around the town done a little shopping. After a couple of hours we went over to Conishead Priory (photo) which now houses the Manjushri Kadampa Meditation and Buddhist centre.
We had some lovely home-made Beetroot and Coconut soup in there. I've never had this before and wondered if I would like it, but we both did. After G visited the Buddhist shop we then came home for a leisurely afternoon.
Meanwhile Hubby has been up in the loft to fetch down the Christmas Tree and decorations, so guess what G and I will be doing tomorrow!!!??
Thank you so much for dropping by, take care and stay safe. See you all tomorrow.
