To my ignorant eyes, this seems like hawthorn, but if so, it is very late and should have flown south or hibernated by now.
 I took this in a park, and the small tree stands next to a French cafe, so perhaps it was being kept alive by wafts of warm caffeineatted air and the fragrance of crepes suzette. Works for me.
