RIP Cassie

Only two days ago I was enjoying my dawn walk with Cas along the beach.  Defying her age of nearly 13, she romped in the sand like a youngster.
Such a wonderful sight which never failed to make me smile.

In just 24 hours her health deteriorated and this morning it was obvious what we had to do. 
The vet was so kind and compassionate. 

I could use the image I took this morning as she slept in the lounge but I have chosen one of my all time favourites, taken several years ago with her best buddy Dexter.
Cas was an extraordinary dog and she brought so much joy into my life.
We will all miss her so much X
