Welcome to welfare society

This society is today 102 years old as an independent nation and we still haven't learn how not to waste resources. Of course this is not only Finland's problem. Politicians here and everywhere are using huge amount of energy arquing and looking for mistakes of others actions instead of resolving real problems like global warming and poverty. Sometimes it feels that decisions are based on public opinion in social media. Common sense and constitution law are totally forgotten, when everyone are yelling over each other. Total madness.

So I'm not sure anymore if I want to celebrate this kind of "welfare" society...I highly value the effort of war veterans whom made this possible in the past, but generations since then have ruined many of the good things by all those political games they are playing.

This blip shows an old and currently abandoned border station at Nuijamaa, where is a gateway from Finland to Russia. This old one has been closed 2006, when the new one was taken in use 1 km away from this one. Only one example of wasted resources....
