Collecting Rose Petals

Today we buried a dear friend. His wife asked me to bring rose petals for the guests to toss onto the casket after it was lowered into the site. She wanted only 3 white roses to be placed on top, one for her and two for their 2 daughters. It was a warm, loving service with many of their friends and family. The weather even cooperated and was sunny instead of the predicted fog inversion. As the last prayers were said a large flight of Canada geese flew over in formation honking their salute.
