"I have a little snow on my nose"

& yes, overnight we had a little snow.

Stella knew it was coming and stayed under the blanket on the sofa all night. Weird having my own bed to myself but I was thankful for the uninterrupted Zs!

By 2pm it started properly snowing quite heavily though and by 3pm I was being sent home from work before it started freezing.

All the roads I use are gritted frequently except the road where the office is and the road I live on so it was rather slippery leaving work and rather slippery arriving home. I put salt down before I left this morning but it wasn't much help by the time the heavy snow arrived meaning getting on the driveway was quite precarious. Put more salt down and a couple of hours later the snow turned to sleety drizzle and is melting nicely from the paths and drive right now. Meant to freeze badly overnight though so I expect the gritters will be kept busy again.
