Fractured
On this overcast and gray December morning, my husband decided he was going jogging on one of the local gameland roads at the nearby Scotia Barrens. I took my camera and strolled down the road looking for photo opportunities. We both made sure to wear our blaze orange, as it's hunting season here.
We agreed on a time to meet back at the car, and I arrived there a few minutes before my husband did. I noticed an icy puddle, but someone had driven through it, and all of the ice was broken. I spent a few minutes kneeling by the puddle taking pictures of the reflections. Above you may see my favorite of those fractured images showing the reflections of bare winter trees on water and on ice.
A song for beautiful broken things: Don Williams, with Some Broken Hearts Never Mend.
