Last Saturday of the election
Cathleen and I were in Dunoon this morning , helping to deliver supporters letters.
Only the SNP and the Lib Dems have put up any lamp post posters and for the first time since we moved here 27 years ago there is no sign of the Tories at all, not even in terms of a leaflet delivered in the mail.
We started work at the back of the town at 11.00 but within half an hour the dampness and drizzle had descended for the day and the wind had started to pick up.
Fortunately we managed to complete our allotted task but the forecast for the next 36 hours is very poor.
Such, I suppose, are the inevitable perils of a December campaign
