Paddle Steamer
The country, apparently, is besieged and beset by snow. Not in Glasgow it ain't - nor in Edinburgh. Bright blue skies today, crisp wintery sunshine.
The wonderful P. S. Waverley - the last seagoing passenger carrying paddle steamer in the world - is berthed just down from where I work. She really is quite a vessel - isn't it amazing what one takes for granted when it is on your doorstep? I loved the red, black and white of her funnels against the blue of the sky. (I've never sailed on her, but made a promise to myself today that I would book an excursion this summer.)
