The rain has stopped!

And the sun even came out this afternoon!
We had to cancel our BBQ for friends last night, and the rain kept coming overnight. However, by early afternoon it stopped. Even the rain in the mountains seems to have ceased. It has caused havoc on the West Coast and also around Timaru with lots of flooding. It will take sometime to recede and get things back to normal.
This photo is of a popular bar and icecream place. The later is under water with the lake more than half way up it’s doors. The pub’s outdoor seating is also starting to disappear. Hopefully the lake will reach its maximum tomorrow and will not be as bad as the flood 20 years ago.
