Life in a Northern Town

Stonehenge

We drove the short distance to Stonehenge in brilliant sunshine but as we arrived we were blown off our feet by a sudden hoollie - and soaked to the skin! The new visitors' centre is like a wind tunnel but we were not to be deterred - we took the shuttle bus to the stones along with a group of Japanese tourists - first group of the day - and as we walked round the sun came back out. I only had the little compact with me so the sky is a bit blown out but you get the effect.

Extra is a few selfies being taken.

Now safely back home after an uneventful drive back - tomorrow I have to go for a liver scan and was diligently following the instructions that today I should eat nothing but fruit, vegetables, oats, brown bread and brown rice. I just checked the letter again to find that I was actually supposed to avoid those foods today - whoops! I think there might be another hoollie blowing in the scanner......
