Let the fun begin...

Backblipped

Up at the crack of dawn as Billy and Kevin (the painters) and Max and Martin (bathroom fitters) were due to arrive at 8am.

By the time Agnes and Adrian arrived at lunch time, the wallpaper in our bedroom was completely stripped and the ensuite was well on its way to being fully dismantled.  They plan to move the bath into our bedroom.  It's a very large free standing bath and I expect they will have to remove the ensuite door.  So glad we won't be here to witness it all!

Once Agnes and Adrian arrived we headed off to Delivino's for lunch.  It was the first day of their Christmas menu.  D and I had the venison.  It was delicious.

Leisurely lunch over with, we headed to our cars then on to Aberfeldy.  We arrived first and picked up the keys to the lodge (third time we've stayed in this wee lodge now.  Feels like ours :-) Got a text from Agnes to say their sat nav had taken them a weird way and they'd got lost.  Not great on a very dark wet and windy winter's night when driving conditions aren't great!  Thankfully they weren't too far behind us and we were soon settled in and cosy.

After our lovely and very filling lunch we opted not to have dinner and had cheese, biscuits and fruit instead.

So pleased we've booked an extra night this year.  Feels like a proper short break.
