Feeding time

We got up at 5am this morning to drive up to Glenmore to go feed these guys!

It's a first come first serve thing so wanted to be up there toot sweet!

The boys slept in the back.... as did I in the front... whilst Mr J drove us up the A9.

Arrived in plenty time to pick up a bacon roll and a cuppa in Aviemore before making our way to the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre.

It was raining heavily all the way and by the time we got up there it was sleet!!
But we had all the appropriate gear so we were  going for it come rain or shine or sleet...

Anyway.... the clouds parted to show a little blue sky  just before we headed up to the hill to meet the herd and it stayed off till we were finished! It was windy but we were ready for that!

It was amazing getting to be up close and personal to these guys. Getting to hand feed them to. The boys were in their element, as were we!!

They are beautiful animals.

Worth all the effort to get there.

Once we got back down off the hill we  went for a lovely meal and then I drove us back down the road. Home for 6.
