Red roofs rock...
Backblipped
David and Adrian were up and out early to play golf at Pitlochry Golf Course.
There had been much weather watching, fearful that the round may have to be abandoned but as they say, the sun shines on the righteous, and the round went ahead.
Agnes and I chilled in the morning before heading to Kenmore and the gift shop. It's a lovely shop that stocks provisions for the nearby holiday lets, but not just basic stuff. It has a lovely deli and bakery section as well as lovely treats and wines and spirits. The gift shop part is lovely too and I managed to buy some Christmas gifts, which made me feel a bit better as I am so behind with Christmas gift buying this year.
It was raining when we left the shop to head to Pitlochry to meet the guys at the golf club for lunch, but as we drove towards Tummel Bridge the sun came out, and we enjoyed a lovely drive though stunning scenery alongside Loch Tumme and past Queen's View.
David and I came this way when we were staying at Loch Tay in May and I feel so lucky to have experienced this beautiful part of the world in two different seasons.
We arrived at the gold club and headed into the clubhouse just as D&A were playing the 18th. Adrian played well D not so much and they both enjoyed the course.
We then had a wonderful three course lunch in the clubhouse where the food was delicious and the service welcoming and friendly.
It was dark when we headed back to the lodge and having eating such a filling lunch, we ditched going out for dinner again and had the last of the cheese and biscuits and fruit.
The evening was spent playing quizzes with Agnes as quizmaster. D, A and I had buzzers on our phones to press. So much time was spent arguing over who had buzzed first! lol!
Another great night :-)
