Lexi and Santa

This came via the airways this evening and had to be my blip. I’ve done this for the last three years. she seems to be almost enveloped by Santa and loving it too.
Terrible news came through this afternoon and is still developing. NZ’s most active volcano on White Island erupted. Around 50 people were on the island with 23 accounted for (and injured)  and one fatality. The remainder are unaccounted for, very very grim. 27 are passengers from the cruise ship Ovation of the Seas berthed at Tauranga. Oh dear, I’m feeling so sad.
On other news the bridge in the inland route was reopened at midday, the big/long one on State Highway 1 may be opened late tomorrow.  All the local devastation fades now with this new tragedy on our shores.

Our internet came back on this morning thankfully.   
We did a good bike ride this morning,  felt good, and this afternoon pottering in the garden, dead heading roses...therapeutic.  Doug did the lawns.
