Fallow deer stag

This morning the walking group did our annual Christmas walk from Powys Castle. We had to do the shorter version today as the longer one would have involved going through waterlogged fields which no-one really fancied!

There are a herd of fallow deer in the grounds and this one was reasonably close as we passed by. We always end the walk having refreshments in the cafe which gives us chance to have a good chat.
