Elves and Shelves

KG had table tennis this morning and I opted to go into Thornbury and do a Tesco shop.  At long last bought the cards and wrapping paper.  Had  a busy afternoon as we have R and S coming for lunch tomorrow - so I prepared the Tomato and Apple soup - made stuffing and pigs in blankets.  Set up timers for KG's christmas lights. Made tea  and now time for my blip.
Early in the afternoon (before the light had gone) I heard murmerings from Elf and Safety.  
It is not fair said Elf that is our shelf that those snow people are on and we are stuck up high in the bookcase (see extra) 
Let's go and tell them what for said Safety.  They bravely climbed down from their high shelf and climbed up onto "their" shelf.  They spoke nicely to the snow people but papa snowperson ws having none of it.  We have been put here for the Christmas period and that is where we stay - we always have this shelf at this time of year.  You can have it back after.  Elf looked at Safety and Safety nodded in agreement so they made the hazardous journey to their top shelf.  They didn't quite make it and i heard a bump as saw them both on the ground - they weren't hurt (only pride) and I gently put them up to their place on high again.   the second extra is my little snowman that was catching the light beautifully 
Not  a bad day and I managed to miss the showers while out and about
