Grateful to be employed and liking my job despite the challenges..

This morning I heard the news that possibly the largest trucking bankruptcy in history happened. Two executives are charged with lying to investigators and stealing 60 million dollars. As of Monday morning, 4000 people are out of work. Of that nearly 3000 drivers, if they were not at home, have to find away to get there as their fuel card got cut off. In this case, social media is wonderful. As the word spread, other drivers and companies are stepping up to get people home, to pay for meals and... The true trucker spirit...

In other news.. All 4000 workers will lose...
Medical - unless the can afford "full cost"

Vision
All accrued vacation
The company match 401K  (retirement)
Over 1000 stopped being paid yesterday, just a day after they were told they were going to be laid off.
No they didn't need 60 day's notice as a bankrupt liquidation preempts that... 
This will also effect 10's of thousand workers at shippers, receivers, truck stops (fuel), and many more...
