Ambulance whizzing past our car at 7 o'clock tonight.

Just arrived home myself after a slippery journey home - the roads in Edinburgh and Haddington all perfectly clear, but of course as soon as I climbed to Gifford I found a fresh covering of snow. I really hope my shift is finished before we get more.
