Snowbirds ...a new twist
Rain yesterday and temps climbing to the low 50's overnight meant no snow today...or did it??? Turns out that there was a heavy terry snow fall last night in the Studio where the Tiny Photographers were in hot pursuit of a rare Northern Toucan (T.plasticus). As usual, it was Beauregard and Daphne who bagged the shot. Well, actually it was Beauregard since Daphne was, as usual, fiddling with her camera settings - probably because she shoots with a Canon instead of a Nikon. Just sayin'.
The set up...soft box, two external lights, macro lens, flash diffuser, white terry wash cloth, tripod. Photographer safely seated in her rolling office chair.
We are keeping a close eye on MIL at the moment as she has pneumonia. Her new "home" is much better equipped to care for her than the other places she's been, able to administer IV's, do xrays, etc. This means that, for now, we can avoid another hospital stay. And, thankfully, she is just two miles from our house, a five-minute drive. Keep her in your thoughts, please.
Tonight the temps are heading down and we will probably get some ice and snow by morning. Doesn't seem like it will be anywhere near the crippling storm we had last week, fingers crossed.
Thanks to Carol_Dunham for hosting Tiny Tuesday this week (and I know this is a stretch for the "trimmings" theme although he IS a nicely trimmed bird), and to Hanulli for her Tiny People challenge. And thank YOU for stopping by!
