Shotley Bridge.

Working at Shotley Bridge hospital today I noticed this photo on the wall, I wish I’d got it all in because it shows what I presume to be the old pit and its workings! That said it’s not what interests me, it’s the chap in the middle. His body language tells me he running, to what, from where? Was the photographer capturing the scene or someone running from it! Interesting what thoughts an old photo can evoke!
