Sculpture Day

My wife, daughter, her husband and I spent the day doing Soft Stone Sculptures. This involves mixing up a cement, sand and water retention material and then, as it sets, carving out a sculpture. Previously my daughter and I did a workshop on how to do these so it was a fun day sharing our knowledge with the others.
Because it was relatively warm the mix set more quickly but we managed to cope.

Soft Stone Sculptures are relatively simple to learn and, we have found, provides an opportunity to challenge our creativity working in three dimensions.
