Here we go again…!

The first metro league games today.  I’m told there are 37 games.  (We will NOT be at all those, but wanted to see the teams. at the first one)   Oskar declared at one point he was NOT trying out for basketball (too much pressure after his brother) but the coaches talked him in to it and he’s having a blast on the freshman team!
They came so close to winning this one..good things in store I think.  Freshman game at 4:00 . Varsity at 7:30.  There’s a great Italian restaurant across the street from the high school so that was the plan in between… but Nik wasn’t going to play as he is injured.  (Mom was told it happened in the gym, but Oskar told us he fell climbing over a fence to get to Dicks’ hamburger place! oh oh ) 
So we skipped that game BUT it’s the Mom/DIL’s birthday today so we 5 ended up at the restaurant anyway where we could hear all of Oskar’s stats and evaluations of the game he takes so seriously. And toast our wonderful DIL.   Oskar still thanks us with a hug for coming to his games! And he looked at my pictures in the camera and chose the blip…wanted the coach in it. So be it.   I’ve made a collage of a few others including the Mom (huge supporter) .  Nik is in the stands ..tan pants... in upper right.)   When there are home games the team wears ties to school that day…:-)  hence the tie at dinner..(this was my favorite photo with the purples, actually)
