Cake Making Day.

I've been putting this of for a while, hoping the weather would cool down.

Well, we had a thunderstorm last night, and it did cool down a bit.  This morning felt fresh, even if it did smell a bit like wet cigarette ends outside.

So, I decided to go ahead with the cakes.  But by the time we started them at 9 am, it was already heating up again.  Luckily the oven doesn't have to be on for long.

Anyway, it made the girls happy.  Especially Mia, who can now stand on the little step to help.

Whilst we waited for the cakes to cool, we popped out to the shops.  The sandals I bought for Isabella about a month ago, are already too small.

So, we went and bought her a bigger size.  Looking at them when we got home, I don't think they'll fit her for long either!!

Back home we iced the cakes and put sprinkles on them.  Then of course they had to be eaten.  Even Sparkles got a tiny bit.

The girls were picked up at about 2pm.  So an early day for me.
