The Fairy.....

We are still reeling from ongoing news of the aftermath of the disastrous volcanic eruption on White Island on Monday. A number of deaths from burns and other life-threatening side effects, many victims in specialized burns units in hospitals throughout New Zealand, numbers of them on respirators and life-support. It is horrific. We feel for those directly affected including family members from a number of countries. We are hanging on to every news bulletins.
This lovely rose is bursting into flower in our garden. It is smothered with buds and opening flowers. It’s very showy.
We’ve had a brilliant sunny day.... I was very busy.... up the the gym at 5.30am to get a good head start on the day. Around 10.30am I gave a talk to some of the residents at the Springlands Lifestyle Village down the road from us. Then lunch out with my regular lunch friends. Gardening this afternoon.
