High level archaeology.......

......but those men up aheight weren't deploying their trowels for the excavation.....it looks like they've got down to late 60's/early 70's levels going by the background colour and the typeface. So who WAS Allyson, was she a hairdresser or maybe a boutique owner.....y'know I genuinely don't remember, must have been before I moved to Whitley Bay in 1974 ;-)

EDIT :: After posting the same image on a local FB page I've just had a definitive answer from someone who knows "My Aunt and uncle owned this at one point and my mum worked here. It was called Allyson's/ Allyson's Fashions and sold ladies clothes. It would be the early 70's ."
