Joyous news from Hoy - the Current Mrs Creel's brother phones to tell me that the swaaps and squalls of wind are removing part of the roof from the Hoy bolt hole. Deep joy - if the boat's back on the morn I'll go across and examine the damage, order materials and make temporary repairs. Indicative of the weather is that all ferries are currently cancelled.

You wouldn't even send a politician out on a day like today.
