An essential pin

Our choir sang at the cathedral this evening. The Angel Gabriel (13th century in origin); A Child is Born (Jonny Mathis has a lot to answer for); and The Holly and the Ivy ( but a different tune, dance- like. I think I now prefer it). I think we sang well.

We have a “uniform”. All black, with Salford magenta scarves and tie.

J contacted me this afternoon. Had I got a safety pin. She had forgotten her brooch, the one that would hold her black dress together in the evening. I didn’t. But this Spirit of Salford pin came to the rescue and saved her blushes. And matched the colour theme.
