Flight of Many Colours...
Best seen 'Large' (L on your keyboard)
Rainbows usually get us trying to get the whole arc of it in. That's OK but the results are hardly ever more than just that, with everything else in the frame possibly detracting.
This is with quite a long lens and then cropped further to eradicate the buildings. The town I visited and its carpark could hardly have been the best place to photograph from but then again, rainbows are fleeting moments, are they not.
Oh - and yes - a polariser used too, even on a long 'un. It enriches the colours and contrast - quite strange though that you can actually remove the rainbow entirely by having the polariser twisted to the wrong angle - a pain, but you really have to compose for each shot.
