Paddy's Castle

This was used as a dwelling house for hundreds of Irish immigrants who worked in Polnoon Mill
Not much is mentioned about the place in local history file,I think the genteel Eaglesham folks are a bit wary of talking about it.
The young Irish colleens had part time jobs after working at the mill by "entertaining" the local gentry.
I have asked some of the older locals about it and they just laugh and change the subject.
This all happened about 200 years ago but it is still hush hush.
