Christmas, Light, Election, Rain!

A morning to try and get the Christmas Tree up and dressed.  I managed to get it in a pot, propped up with assorted stones, but by the time I was ready to add the sand to the mix it had started to pour with rain. So rain stopped play.  Perhaps the weather is heralding the start of another serious political mistake that we’re making as a country.

As background to all this folly I’ve found myself thinking about the rescuers in NZ who are hoping to retrieve the bodies of the tourists who were killed in the volcanic eruption on White Island.  I hope they all return safely.  My thoughts are also with the families of those who lost their lives and those who are suffering with such horrific burns.
